"Bjni" Director Requests Termination of Auction Investigation

Mr. L. Haroutyunyan, "Bjni" Executive Director, in a sudden reversal, requested that the Kotayk Regional Administration’s Division of Investigations not act on his petition regarding illegalities surrounding the auction of the "Bjni" Mineral Water Plant. Last August, Mr. Haroutyunyan had sent a formal complaint to the General Prosecutor’s Office alleging that the auction was illegal. The GPO sent the petition to the Kotayk Police Department for further investigation. When summoned to the Charentsavan branch of the Kotayk Division of Investigations, Mr. Haroutyunyan stated that a civil case was already underway in the RoA Administrative Court and that there was thus no need for a parallel investigation. Mr. Haroutyunyan’s request was sustained and the evidence supplied was transferred to the Administrative Court for review.
