Witness Summoned to Pashinyan Trial Actually Saw Nothing Specific

n-pashinyanVarsenik Zourabyan, a salesperson at the "Urartu" store was summoned to appear at the trial Nikol Pashinyan, in which the defendant is charged with using force against a police officer on October 23, 2007. Ms. Zourabyan, however, was neither able to point out the defendant nor his alleged victim. In turns out that she had spotted the assembled crowd from a store window and had heard the noise but didn’t see Nikol Pashinyan strike any police officer and neither heard what he said. "I saw the crowd and the tumult on the street outside. Many people converged on the store. There was a moment that I spotted that the police had arrived but I couldn’t watch from the window anymore. I had to keep an eye on the store. In about a half an hour the crowd dispersed," Ms. Zourabyan stated. After her testimony the trial ended, since the other witnesses arrived without their passports. The trial of Nikol Pashinyan will resume on November 3.
