Today the 7 Heritage Party MP’s introduced a bill that would officially designate April 24 as “Hayrenazrkman Datapartman Or” (Day to Condemn Dispossession of Patrimony), in addition to Genocide Memorial Day. The Heritage Party stated that the Armenian people, as a direct result of the Genocide were uprooted from their native homeland and that the April 24 commemorations should be expanded in scope to take this into account. The statement says that an entire civilization and culture was wiped out in the process and that this complete comprehension of what started in 1915 must be presented to the world at large and officially noted on the political agenda of the RoA.
