Yuri Shahramanyan, who heads the Operative Unit of the Karabakh office of the British "Halo Trust" organization, which deals in de-mining projects in Artsakh, told "Hetq" that the area in question hadn’t been posted with warning signs since there was no information specifying that the district contained buried mines. Mr. Shahramanyan stated, "It must be noted that the area in question is far from any residential community and thus there is no information regarding mine fields in the area." The following day, "Halo Trust" sappers combed the area and defused another nine anti-tank mines. As a result, some 730 mines have been defused, along with 759 unexploded bombs dropped from planes and 2,879 other types of ordinance. So far this year, the organization has registered four accidents involving anti-tank mines, resulting in the death of 2 individuals.
