"HayRusGazArd" Inspectors Charged with Meter Tampering

The Kentron and Nork-Marash Proesector’s Office has launched a criminal case aginst several gas meter readers for the "HayRusGazArd" utility company for tampering with cerian meters and turning back the usage numbers. The Prosecutor’s Office reported that it had uncovered one case of tampering where meter inspector Y. Yenokyan agreed to break the gas meter seal of a resident on Alex Manukyan Stree and essentially turn back the numbers, just like on a car’s speedometer. As a result, the utility company was defrauded out of 334,058 AMD. R. Harutyunyan, another utility inspector for the company agreed to do the same for the "Pizza di Roma" store located at 1 Isahakyan Street, resulting in uncollected bills of 975,379 AMD. Based on the findings, a criminal case has been launched and the matter has been handed over to the Kentron Investigative Unit for pre-trial examination.
