Recently, representatives of a number of Belgian-Armenian groups and organizations met in the city of Antwerp to review the proposal of the “Nvard Cultural Union regarding the creation of an umbrella organization to be named the "Federation of Belgian-Armenian Organizations". Gevorg Minasyan, President of “Nvard” spoke of the need to establish such an umbrella organization linking various local groups and coordinating their activities. He stated that such a federation would better serve the goal of strengthening Armenia-Diaspora relations. A vote was taken and Mr. Minasyan was elected to preside over the new organization.
