Conference of Armenian-Turkish Journalists Kicks-Off in Yerevan
The Eurasia Partnership Foundation, in conjunction with the Global Political Trends Center (GPOT), a research unit under the auspices of Istanbul Kultur University, will organize a meeting of journalists from Armenia and Turkey on December 17-20 in Yerevan. The event is being financed by the Norwegian government and the U.S. AID.
Prominent journalists and reporters from CNN Türk, Milliyet, Sabah, Hurriyet, Cumhuriyet, Akşam will join their Armenian counterparts from Azg, Kentron TV, Yerkir Media, Tert.am, News.am and other media outlets. It’s all a part of the Eurasia Foundation’s "Mutual Bias and Objectivity in the Media" project to review the role of media bias in the normalization process and how the media can add to the ongoing momentum, as well as to build briges of understanding between the peoples of the two neighboring nations.
The journalists had their first meeting in the Turkish town of Bursa on October 13-14, on the sidelines of the football match between the Armenian and Turkish national squads.
The meeting in Yerevan will take place at the Congress Hotel and will kick-off at 2 pm today.
