Armenian Government Officials to Learn French; C'est Vrai!

As of January 9, some seventy Armenian government officials will be attending French lessons provided by Alliance Française-Arménie. The officials will be culled from the various Armenian government ministries, the National Assembly, Constitutional Court and the Yerevan Municipality. The lessons are the result of an agreement signed between the RoA Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (International Organisation of the Francophonie), France, Luxembourg and the French-speaking community of Belgium. Armenia is an associate member  in the Organization and wishes to obtain full member status. The lessons will last for several months and the hope is that the participating Armenian officials and diplomats will now be able to at least speak conversational French.
