Armen Harutyunyan, the RoA Human Rights Ombudsman, lambasted Grigor Amalyan, President of the National Commission of Radio and TV, for his recent quip that the report of the Ombudsman regarding the events of March 1, 2008, wasn’t "serious".
"I would only advise Amalyan to draft such a ‘non-serious’ report himself. At least he could then state that he has actually done something with his life," remarked Ombudsman Harutyunyan at a press conference today.
Mr. Harutyunyan added that the parliamentary ad-hoc committee established to look into the events of March 1 found his report serious enough to take into review when drawing up their own report.
