The Third Annual DigiTec Business Forum is set to take place on 9-10 June at the Armenia Marriott Hotel.  The theme for this year’s event is “Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in Routine Business.”  The main objective of the forum is to support the introduction of ICT in to other sectors of the economy and to be an umbrella under which all the ICT products and services aimed at modernizing the economy can be presented. A wide range of international participants are expected at the DigiTec Business Forum this year, including representatives from Southern and Eastern Europe – particularly Bulgaria, Albania, Kosovo, Serbia, Romania, Macedonia and Moldova.  “Armenia is increasingly gaining international recognition in the information and communications technology sector.  Our reputation, as an acknowledged ICT center, is improving and this will attract investors to the ICT sector in Armenia,” noted UITE Expo Director Vahan Hovsepyan. In past years, the forum has seen the participation of around 1500 business visitors and 30 ICT companies.  This year’s event expects around 40 companies to take part, presenting technological solutions for finance, banking, customer service, accounting, human resource management, e-learning, sales and other areas.
