Free Medical Service Provided to 700 Patients
On the occasion of the historic victories in the month of May, the Yerevan Medical Center has provided free medical service to 700 family members of freedom fighters, including some cases of serious operations. The medical center receives no state support and the event was organized through its own financial means and that of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation.
The vast majority of patients had internal diseases that had been caused by poor social conditions and stress.
The staff of the Yerevan Medical Center is ready to continue providing similar service to family members of freedom fighters from Nagorno-Karabakh, Javakhk and Armenia in the coming years. According to Hrayr Karapetyan, Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs, a new draft law will be developed in the National Assembly through which operations would be organized free of charge in other hospitals as well.
