As a result of the explosion yesterday evening near the House of Culture and Sport in Stavropol yesterday, 7 people have died and 40 were injured, according to initial reports.  The list of wounded people also contained three Armenian names – 8-year old Liana Melkumyan, 16-year old Diana Melkumyan and 21-year old Davit Sargisyan.  Three women had died on the spot and 4 more had succumbed to grave injuries later in hospital. The Russian Federation police have classified the incident as an act of terrorism.  According to early reports, the explosive device was placed on the roof of a café 15 meters from the House of Culture and Sport.  The House was scheduled to host the State Dance Ensemble of Chechnya.
