Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan today visited the offices of the National Democratic Union in Yerevan and met with NDU head Vazgen Manukyan. An assistant to the PM, Aram Ananyan, told Hetq that Mr. Sargsyan met with Vazgen Manukyan, who chairs the Public Council, in an official capacity. Mr. Ananyan refrained from offering any further details of the meeting. Hetq sources say that President Sargsyan and PM Sargsyan visited Mr. Manukyan at his home last week to discuss the flap over the planned opening of foreign language schools. Mr. Manukyan opposes the plan. According to the same sources, the President and PM failed to convince him otherwise.
