Michael Postl, the newly appointed Ambassador of Austria to Armenia, presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan today. President Sargsyan welcomed the new ambassador and voiced the hope that he would make an important contribution to the development of ties between the two nations. Ambassador Postl told President Sargsyan that the forthcoming visit of the Austrian Foreign Minister to Armenia seeks to evaluate new programs of cooperation, especially in the fields of economy and culture. President Sargsyan and Ambassador Postl exchanged views on Armenian-Turkish relations and the settlement of the Karabakh conflict. President Sargsyan welcomed Austria’s balanced position on the Karabakh issue.
