Archbishop Galpakyan Returns to Etchmiadzin

After serving the Armenian Apostolic Church in various locations in the diaspora for 45 years, Archbishop Voskan Galpakyan has tendered his resignation as Primate of the Diocese of Greece and will be returning to Holy Etchmiadzin. The Greek Diocese is under the administrative jurisdictiopn of the Great House of Cilicia. Archbishop Galpakyan seems to be following in the steps of the late Archbishop Mesrob Ashjian, who also returned to Etchmiadzin after many years of service to Cilician Prelacies overseas.
