Association Agreement to Boost Economic Cooperation
Today, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received the Austrian Federal Minister for European and Foreign Affairs Michael Spindelegger.
The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction at the current level of political relations between Armenia and Austria and emphasized the importance of promoting bilateral economic ties.
According to the press service of the Government of Armenia, Michael Spindelegger noted that the Austrian Government is keen to boost cooperation with the countries of the South Caucasus.
Referring to progress in collaboration with the European Union, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan noted the importance of the Eastern Partnership program. As a primary condition for the improvement of economic cooperation, the two sides have set out the terms for an Association Agreement and a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement. The importance of boosting cultural, scientific and educational ties was also noted.
