After the armed clash at the Northeast part of the Karabakh-Azerbaijan frontier on 18 June, shots fired from behind enemy lines have increased in frequency. According to an operative memo from the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army, over the past 7 days the Azerbaijan army has fired more than 2000 shots of different calibers, including from sniper weaponry such as the Dragunov’s rifle. These instances of violating the ceasefire were especially intense on 20 and 22 June, with 504 shots, including 185 fired from machine guns. The media section of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army has stated that action taken by the frontier units has prevented any advances by the enemy.  The Karabakh side has not suffered any casualties as a result of this violation of the ceasefire.
