The Generals are Coming to a Regional Administration Near You
According to a Hetq source inside the halls of government, Kotayk Regional Governor Kovalenko Shahgaldyan will soon be forced out of office, to be replaced by yet another military man, General Zaven Nanyan. If he does get the job, Nanyan will become the fourth general appointed as a regional governor.
Recently, Edik Barseghyan was appointed Regional Governor of Ararat; Ashot Giziryan of Shirak and Ashot Ghahramanyan of Armavir. Zaven Nanyan had headed the Department of Constitutional Order and Anti-Terrorism at the National Security Service until his removal earlier this year. He is the brother of former Shirak Governor Lida Nanyan.
