50% Surveyed Say Unemployment a Major Problem

In a recent survey, 50% of 1,619 respondents stated that unemployment and the lack of work was most challenging issue facing their families in Armenia. The public survey was conducted by the Political and Sociological Institute, at the behest of the Armenian government. 1,079 of the respondents were from outside Yerevan. 13% stated that housing was a priority issue (the purchase and renovation of), and 5% said that low salaries and pensions were at the top of the list.
