Tigran Martirosyan - World Champion

Gyumri native Tigran Martirosyan clinched top prize in the 77 kg division at the 2010 World Weightlifting Championship in Antalya, Turkey on Thursday night. The 22 year-old, already a European champion, cleaned 173 kilos in the Snatch and 200 kilos in the Clean & Jerk to sneak past LU Xiaojun by three kilos. Meline Daluzyan, another European champion, came in third in the women's 69 kg division.
