Based on complaints registered by 167 residents in the vicinity of the Shogh Oil Factory located in Shengavit regarding foul exhausts emanating from the site, the Ministry of Nature Protection has issued a decree obligating the plant to install additional equipment to rectify the matter by November 1. Residents were assisted in getting their message across to the government by Heritage Party MP Anahit Bakhshhyan who officially contacted the ministry. The ministry sent a team to investigate the oil factory and found out that it hadn’t been operating since September 18.
