RA Human Rights Ombudsman Informs Facebook about Scam Page

After receiving a steady stream of complaints, the RA Human Rights Ombudsman’s Office has contact management of the popular social network "Facebook", informing them about a scam page entitled "Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia" that has been set up in the site. The Ombudsman’s Office denies opening such a page and calls on Facebook management to resolve the matter, adding that many of the more than 700 visitors registered with the page did without knowing the facts. The Office also claims that visitors to the fraudulent page are then directed to a number of commercial and advertising sites.
