Regional authorities in Aragatzotn have called on local mayors to "clean up their act" when it comes to garbage collection in their communities. Regional Governor Sargis Sahakyan has scheduled certain days as "sanitary" days throughout Aragatzotn and has set up a special commission to see that community heads collect garbage on time and work with residents to keep their communities clean. Deputy Regional Governor M. Arakelyan has been appointed to head the commission.
