RA Department of Corrections - Mr. Pashinyan might have been "dreaming"

According to a statement issued by the RA Department of Corrections, jailed activist and Haykakan Zhamanak editor Nikol Pashinyan claimed that he was physically assaulted last night in the Kosh correctional facility where he is being held. The Department of Corrections (DC) says that at 2:50 in the morning Pashinyan started to make a racket, claiming that two masked Special Forces’ personnel had assaulted him. The DC says they went to investigate immediately afterwards and that the other 18 detainees in the cell denied the presence of Special Forces personnel. Mr. Pashinyan was then taken for a medical check-up and no traces of physical abuse were seen, according to the DC. The DC report says that others in the cell suggested that Mr. Pashinyan might have been "dreaming", as per usual.
