Four People Accused of Committing Banditry

The preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated against four persons for committing banditry has been completed in the Investigation Department of Yerevan Police. The prosecutor who supervised the preliminary investigation of the criminal case has confirmed the bill of indictment.

The investigation has revealed that from April 11, 2011 to May 28, 2011 G. Petrosyan came to a prior agreement with juveniles A.M., S.G. and S.S. and they attacked gas stations in different administrative districts of Yerevan and in Armavir region as well. They also attacked the employees of one pharmacy and stole a considerable amount of money. Overall 9 cases of robbery committed by the above-mentioned persons have been revealed.

In particular, G. Petrosyan together with A.M., S.G. and S.S. attacked the employees of four gas stations belonging to “CPS” Ltd. in Parakar village of Armavir region, in A. Babajanyan 54, Leningradyan 31/1, Tbilisyan 1 streets of Yerevan as well as “Gush” gas station in 37/2 Sebastia street , “KAMOIL” gas station in 9/2 Hasratyan street, the gas station belonging to “Tigran Grigoryan and friends” Ltd. in 51 Shiraz street and the gas station belonging to “Gosh-Gas” Ltd. in 41/1 Rubinyanc street and used violence against them dangerous for their lives or health by using guns and knives.

Besides on May 28, 2011 at about 07:00 a.m. G. Petrosyan together with A.M., S.G. and S.S. attacked “Danapharm” pharmacy on Fuchik street, attacked the employee of the pharmacy and caused light damage to the latter’s health by using sound gas pistol and stole money from the cash desk.

A.M., S.G. and G. Petrosyan have been charged according to the RA Criminal Code Article 175, part 2, points 3 and 4 and S.S. according to the Article 175, part 2, points 1 and 4. RoA Prosecutor General’s Office reports that the criminal case has been sent to the Court of First Instance of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts.
