"Yerkir Union" Denounces Allegations of U.S. Embassy in Georgoa

The "Yerkir Union" in Javakh has issued a statement labelling as false allegations made by the United States Embassy in Georgia that Russia was behind Armenian demonstrations in Akhalkalak that took place in March, 2006. The embassy communiqué was part of a recent Wikileaks information dump. The "Yerkir Union" states that either the U.S. Embassy either doesn’t have all the facts at its disposal or that it intentionally is misrepresenting them. The Union says that such an approach by the U.S. will only lead to more discrimination of Armenians by the Georgian authorities.
