Acting Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan will convene a special session of the Municipal Council on December 13 to schedule a timetable for new mayoral elections. The need for new mayoral elections arose after the resignation of Gagik Beglaryan, literally forced out of the job by President Serzh Sargsyan, after he was implicated in the beating of a presidential protocols officer.
