The Yerevan Mayor’s Office has announced that musical concerts are scheduled to take place in Republic Square from December 31 to January 6.On December 31, a children’s concert will kick off at 1pm. Starting at 11pm, a pop music show with a bevy of Armenian "stars" will grace the stage and dazzle well-wishers, followed by a spectacular fireworks display at midnight to welcome in the New Year. From January 1 to 6, daily musical events with DJ’s will take place at the Square from 6–10 pm. Costumed characters from popular fairy tales will also be on hand to delight the kiddies.
