Three Arrested in Areni for Passing Fake 10,000 AMD Notes
Two days ago a salesclerk in an Areni village store alerted local police about a customer who attempted to make purchases with a fake 10,000 AMD banknote.
Arriving at the scene, police stopped a car fitting the description given by the clerk. They took the driver and two passengers in for questioning. In turns out that the same three individuals passed fake 10,000 AMD notes at two gas stations to pay for 2,000 in gasoline. They also purchased wine at an Areni street market with forged 10,000 AMD notes. The culprits have been arrested.
