A tragic accident took place at around five this morning at the Shahumyan mine in Kapan operated by Deno Gold, resulting in the death of 33 year-old Armen Yeghiazaryan, a resident of Sisian. Deno Gold reports that an emergency crew immediately transferred the injured to the Kapan Medical Center where he later died. The victim had been working at the mine for the past seven years. He leaves behind a wife and two children. Deno Gold says that details of the accident will be circulated after an official investigation takes place.
