Today, the RA Special Investigative Service dropped criminal charges against Armenian MP and opposition politician Khachatur Sukiasyan due to lack of evidence. Sukiasyan had supported Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s presidential bid in 2008 and later went into hiding after being charged with organizing and abetting the civil unrest that followed.

He later turned himself in to Armenian law authorities.
