During a speech today in the RA National Assembly, ARF MP Artzvik Minasyan, turned his attention to what he described as an unacceptable situation in the town of Ijevan where Mayor Varuzhan Nersisyan struts around like a khan of old MP Minasyan used to time at the podium to say that of the 13 Ijevan Council Members elected in December, 2009, only half remain today as a result of the measures taken by the mayor himself. Minasyan called on the government to take immediate steps to see that Mayor Nersisyan complies with the laws regarding self-governance. This is particularly vital since the Ijevan City Council will be meeting tomorrow to draft the town’s 2011 budget.
