Convoy was scheduled to reach Yerevan This morning, police cordoned off Sayat Nova Street in Gyumri, blocking protesting car owners with Georgian license plates from driving to Yerevan to stage a demonstration in front of the Government House in Republic Square. Levon Barseghyan, President of the Asparez Club reports that there was a heavy police presence of some 25 squad cars and 150 officers. Police have offered no justification for their actions. People continue to gather at the site.
