President Sargsyan Meets With U.S. Delegation

President Serzh Sargsyan today hosted a delegation led by James Steinberg, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State. The President of Armenia welcomed the U.S. official and expressed his pleasure at seeing him again in Yerevan. The Deputy Secretary of State noted that this was his third visit to Armenia after he joined the Obama administration, adding that he was glad his visits have helped promote American-Armenian relations. “Mr. President, as you’ve already mentioned, these regular visits, also your February meeting with the Secretary of State in Munich and the last year meeting with President Obama in Washington and, of course, my visit to Armenia, prove that relations between our two states are strong,” said James Steinberg. At the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to regional security and the Karabakh peace process.
