True to form, public transportation into Yerevan has been reported severely curtailed in an effort to prevent people from attending the scheduled HAK opposition political rally later today on the grounds of the Matenadaran. People from outlying regions can still make it in to the city but it will cost them much more to hail a private taxi. Bus and minivan service has been cut from Etchmiadzin, Ashtarak and other communities. Transportation Ministry Press Secretary Sousanna Tonoyan told Hetq they would be issuing a statement later in the day.
