The Gyumri-based Van TV studio will be shooting a documentary film throughout various Armenian towns and villages to mark the 20th anniversary of the country’s independence to be celebrated later this year. Entitled "Rebirth" (Veratznound), the film will showcase the road each has traveled in the past and current challenges they face. Filming has already been completed in the regions of Shirak, Lori, Tavoush, Aragatzotn, Armavir and Syunik. Footage has also been shot in western Armenia – Ani, Van. Ghars, Sarighamish, Garin, Moush Bitlis Igdir and Bayazet. Van TV Director Vahagn Ghazaryan says the film will be a unique travel guide for Armenians in Armenia and the diaspora to better recognize and appreciate their ancient homeland and the issues it faces today.
