On March 23 Patriarch Ilia II of Georgia received Armenian Ambassador Hrach Silvanyan, who is completing his mission in Georgia. Stressing the importance of friendship between the two Christian nations, the Georgian Patriarch hailed Hrach Silvanyan’s mission in Georgia and his contribution to the strengthening of that friendship. During the meeting, the two discussed the religious life of Georgian Armenians and the forthcoming visit of Catholicos Karekin II to Georgia in June.
