
Aronian Chases Leader Anand at World Candidates Tournament
Playing black, Levon Aronian yesterday played to a draw with Russia’s Vlaimir Kramnik at the 2014 FIDE World Candidates Tournament in Khanty-Mansiysk.
After five rounds, Aronian has three points along with Vladimir Kramnik and Peter Svidler.
They are all chasing former world champ Viswanathan Anand who leads with 3 points.
In today’s match, Aronian goes up against Dmitry Andreikin who is at the bottom of the table with 1.5 points.
