Scores of teachers gathered outside the Ministry of Education and Science in Yerevan today, voicing their opposition to the mandatory pension system.

They demanded that Minister Armen Ashotyan come downstairs and meet with them. Ashotyan refused, suggesting that the teachers come upstairs to him. Neither side budged and the meeting never took place.
