Minister of Health Says Government to Focus on Wellbeing of Mothers and Children
At a meeting today in Yerevan with representatives from World Vision Armenia, newly appointed RA Minister of Health Armen Muradyan said that the health of mothers and their children remain a top priority for the government.
Muradyan said that he was somewhat familiar with World Vision Armenia’s activities in the health sector and that he highly appreciated the work being done by the Christian relief, development and advocacy organization that has resulted in a decreasing trend in infant mortality in Armenia.
The minister said he expected even greater and more productive cooperation between the government and World Vision in the future.
World Vision Program Director Jirayr Edilyan said the organization is reviewing its strategy parameters to bring its health-related programs more in synch with the needs of Armenia.
