The documentary film “Amoulsar – Gold Rush” will be shown today at 3:30pm at the Ani Plaza Hotel in Yerevan.

Produced by the environmental NGO “Ecolur”, the film highlights issues of concern surrounding the operation of an open gold mine a mere 12 kilometres from the famous health resort town of Jermuk.

The Amoulsar mine is operated by Lydian International with the financial backing of the International Finance Corporation and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

After the film, there will be a roundtable discussion on the mining of natural resources in Armenia.
