Armenian FM Leaves Door Open to Agreement Signing at Astana Summit
Responding to a question posed by Hetq as to whether Armenia would be signing any document at tomorrow’s session of Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Astana, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian left the door open to such a possibility.
“If something were to be signed we would have announced it. That which we have announced will happen,” Nalbandian told Hetq.
Nevertheless, when asked by Hetq if this meant that nothing would be signed at Astana, Nalbandian was a bit more judicious in his choice of words. “Astana will take place. Let’s see,” he answered.
Armenian President Sargsyan leaves for Kazakhstan today to attend the Astana Summit.
