Former Armenian Prime Minister Appointed Ambassador to U.S.
Tigran Sargsyan, who resigned as prime minister of Armenia in April of this year, was today appointed the country’s ambassador to the United States.
Sargsyan will replace Tatoul Markaryan as Armenia’s Ambassador to the United States.
Sargsyan announced his resignation on April 3, 2014 under a cloud of political intrigue, only saying it was a personal decision.
