Zvartnots Airport Officials Thwart Attempted Export of Drugs
Armenia’s Ministry of Finance reports that Zvartnots airport officials thwarted an attempt to smuggle 4.5 kilos of opium-like drugs out of the country in a mail parcel marked as Iranian made goods.
The parcel was destined to an address in Canada.
The Ministry reports that so far this year 42 instances of customs violations were uncovered, 14 of which involved illegal drugs.
