“Open Sky”: 35% Increase in Passenger Flow at Zvartnots Airport
As compared to July 2013, a 35% increase in passenger flow was observed at the “Zvartnots” International Airport of Yerevan in the 7th month of 2014. In July 2014 the Airport served 242 098 passengers against 179 620 of the past July.
The number of flights in the same period rose by 34%. Instead of the 1652 flights in past July, the number of flights operated in July 2014 was 2208.
If 27 airlines operated regular flights to Zvartnots in July 2013, now their number is 33. Also most of the airlines increased frequencies to all destinations, which resulted in reduction of air ticket prices.
