Armenia Severely Condemns Downing of Helicopter by Azerbaijan
Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has severely condemned today’s downing of an Artsakh helicopter by Azerbaijan.
In a statement, the ministry says that Baku has always sought to upset the Karabakh conflict settlement process by launching ever new provocations before and after each high-level meeting designed to facilitate its resolution.
“Azerbaijan is grossly violating the agreements reached at recent summits regarding a peaceful settlement of the conflict.
Such a provocation shows that Baku not only mocks the calls of the OSCE Minsk Group’s Co-chairs and the international community not to use force, to strengthen the ceasefire, and to implement confidence building measures, but that it is doing the exact opposite, and thus bears full responsibility for escalating the situation.”
