Gyumri Protestor Now Charged with Hooliganism
Mnatsakan Aleksanyan, who participated in a public protest in Gyumri on January 15 demanding that a Russian soldier charged with murdering members of the Avetisyan family, was today charged with “hooliganism committed with a weapon or another item used as a weapon”.
Aleksanyan, a resident of the village of Sarnaghbyur, was arrested on February 4.
The young man was released two days later just before a scheduled demonstration was to take place in Gyumri calling for his unconditional release.
