Armenian FM Hosts Reps of the Preparatory Committee for Ministerial Conference of Francophonie

Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian today received members of the Preparatory Committee for the 31st Ministerial Conference of Francophonie which will take place in Armenia his fall.  

The committee is headed by Ousmane Paye, Special Envoy of the General Secretary of the International Organisation of La Francophonie Countries.

Welcoming the guests, Minister Nalbandian stressed that it is a great honour for Armenia, an active member of the Francophone family, as well as a great responsibility to host delegations from 80 states at the Ministerial Conference of Francophonie.

Edward Nalbandian expressed hope that the Ministerial Conference will be organized and held on the high level through close cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Secretariat of International Organisation of La Francophonie.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, Committee representatives promisedd that they would spare no effort in ensuring the good organization and successful session of the Conference in Armenia.

The sides discussed preparatory works of the Ministerial Conference.

At the end of the meeting, Edward Nalbandian and Ousmane Paye signed a Memorandum of Understanding "Between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and International Organisation of La Francophonie on the holding of the 31st Ministerial Conference of Francophonie".
