The Best Photos by the Children of Miasnikian to Be Exhibited at “In Focus”
On November 1 photography exhibit of the works by the Children of Miasnikian called “In Focus” will open at Naregatsi Art Institute. The photo exhibit is presented by The Children of Armenia Fund and Naregatsi Art Institute present.
“In Focus” is a photography project that was implemented during the summer and fall of 2011 in the village of Miasnikian, Armavir Marz of Armenia. For four months a group of children aged from 7 to 17 were provided with simple digital cameras to explore their world through photography. The photo exhibit features the selected photos which are the result of young talented children who participated in the project.
“In Focus” was developed, coordinated and implemented by Oksana Mirzoyan with the support of the Children of Armenia Fund (COAF). COAF works to secure a brighter future for children in Armenia’s impoverished rural villages through improved education, health care, child and family services, infrastructure rehabilitation, community life and economic conditions. Since 2004, COAF implements its programs in about dozen villages of Baghramian and Talin Regions of Armavir and Aragatsotn Marzes of Armenia.
