
Armenian Customs Officials Seize $500,000 in Methamphetamine at Iranian Border
Armenian customs official say that have confiscated 2.5 kilograms of methamphetamine at the Meghri border crossing between Iran and Armenia hidden in a suitcase belonging to a citizen of Iran.
The market value of the drugs is estimated at close to US$500,000.
No date for the seizure was given.
Armenian’s finance ministry also claims to have recently seized 62 grams of an opium like substance at the Meghri border crossing that was hidden in the belongings of another Iranian citizen.
